Oxford versus Cambridge is better known for it's boat racing, but when it comes to property prices and commuting to London, Cambridgeshire blows the competition out the water. Cambridgeshire and its surrounding villages are leagues ahead, with better value and faster trains to London than their arch rival Oxfordshire. St Neots and Huntingdon both have train stations, with good-value homes, top schools and 60-minute journeys to London, making it a big draw for property investors, renters and buyers alike.

The average home in Cambridgeshire costs £277,000 compared to Oxfordshire's average of £354,000 with St Neots and surrounding villages seeing prices steadily rise year on year.

Inner city buyers are rapidly discovering the charms of East Anglia's big skies and wide reaching views making St Neots one the top commuter counties in the UK.
